Chat Room Rules

Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our chat rules

SkyHigh Radio in association with XAT.COM operate a chat room facility, in order to provide an additional method of interaction between our DJ's and our listeners.

Although we provide a moderator service and will always try to ensure that the chat room conversation is suitable for all ages, we cannot be held responsible for the actions of the listeners.

Upon entry to the chat room, you will initially have guest status symbolised by a green pawn in the chat list. You can click on this pawn to change the default chat name provided to a name of your choosing. Once you have established rapport with the other users, a moderator or owner will update your status to member, symbolised by a blue pawn.

SkyHigh Radio do not tolerate breaches of chat room rules, which include, but are not limited to:

--- RACIST OR SEXIST REFERENCES
--- DIRECT PERSONAL ATTACKS ON ANOTHER MEMBER, MODERATOR OR OWNER
--- USE OF EXPLICIT LANGUAGE INCLUDING SEXUAL SWEAR WORDS.
--- USE OF SLANG SWEAR WORDS OR ANAGRAMS ie: FFS
--- USE OF LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH
--- PROMOTION OF OR REFERENCES TO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
--- SPAMMING (POSTING OF MULTIPLE REPEATED COMMENTS AND LINKS)
--- HARASSMENT OF OTHER MEMBERS BY USE OF PRIVATE CHAT
--- HARASSMENT OF MODERATORS BY USE OF PRIVATE CHAT
--- DEMANDS FOR MODERATOR OR OWNER STATUS
--- DELIBERATELY DEROGATORY COMMENTS AIMED TOWARDS SKYHIGH RADIO
--- DEROGATORY COMMENTS TOWARDS OTHER LISTENERS
--- ADVERTISING OR POSTING OF LINKS UNLESS REQUESTED

Our moderators will provide 2 written warnings to a member in breach of the rules. Thereafter the member will receive a temporary or permanent ban depending on the severity of the breach. Guests will not receive two written warnings and will be banned immediately.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of the active DJ is final in the first instance.

Children under the age of 16 years old should obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before entering the chat room. The parent or guardian should familiarise themselves with the chat rules and ensure the child understands his/her responsibilities.
